This game was going to be a big test for the team, already missing some players; the late withdrawal of Sean Bayzand further weakening the team.

After two quick goals to Laharum’s Shannon Argall the team settled down to play some good football. Luke Murphy kicked two goals in this quarter, he impressed all day with his strength in the contests and his clever play around the ground. Some wayward shots at goal prevented Jeparit Rainbow from holding a bigger lead at quarter time. The lowlight of the quarter was a shoulder injury to Brodie Grant, continuing a horror run with injuries for Brodie. His absence for the rest of the game put more pressure on the team and limited its rotations.
