LILY Eldridge recently competed at the 2019 Hancock Prospecting Australian Age Championships in the 100m and 200m Breaststroke and two relays, 4x50m medley and 4x100m medley.
There were roughly 60-80 girls in Lily’s age group. It is extremely hard to get the qualifying times to compete at this level of swimming.
Lily was extremely happy with how she swam; she had set herself a goal to try make to top 20 of Australia in her age group and to do personal best times.
Lily did a personal best time in her 100m breaststroke and came 19th, in her 200m breaststroke she did another personal best time and came 23rd. She also swam the breaststroke leg in both the relays and did really well.
Lily’s coach was ecstatic with her results. He said she is a very determined young girl whom works very hard to get where she has considering she lives in a small country town.
