OVER 70 friends and family members helped Win Appledore celebrate her 90th birthday at the Brim Sports Centre on May 25.

Win was born at Rokeby House, Warracknabeal on May 21, 1929 and she has lived all her life in the Brim district.

Win’s daughter, Bev, and son-in-law, Max Saul,
travelled from New South Wales to attend.

Son, Colin, welcomed those attending before Win cut her cake, made by
Colin, and beautifully iced and decorated in Win’s favourite colour, mauve, by long time friend, Valda Hunter.

Win responded, thanking all for coming to help celebrate her special birthday.
All of Win’s nieces and nephews from the Quick family were in attendance, as well as three of her grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
