Amy elected Vice-President

• New Country Female Vice President Amy Johnson.

FORMER Warracknabeal woman, Amy Johnson, has been elected as Country Female Vice President of the Victorian Liberal Party.
Liberal Party delegates voted to appoint Ms Johnson to the role at their 166th State Council at Moonee Valley Race Course recently.
Ms Johnson will serve alongside Liberal Party President, Robert Clark, on the party’s ‘Administrative Committee’, as well as immediate Past President Michael Kroger.
“I’m incredibly proud to have been elected as a Vice President of the Victorian Liberal Party. I’m thrilled to receive the support of party members to take on the role,” Ms Johnson said.
“I’m looking forward to working with the rest of the admin committee to modernise our party and attract a new generation of members,” she said.
The Administrative Committee acts as the Liberal Party’s board and sets strategic direction for the organisation.
Now in her 7th year as a Councillor for the City of Ballarat, Ms Johnson remains an active member of her local community.
Amy holds a Bachelor of Health Science, majoring in Health Promotion and Community Development.
She currently sits on the Visit Ballarat Board and the Her Majesty’s Theatre Board, and is a member of the Community Development portfolio of Ballarat Council.
Ms Johnson has served as a Director for the Highland’s Regional Waste Management, the Art Gallery of Ballarat and Commerce Ballarat.
In addition, Amy has chaired numerous committees including:
• The Positive Ageing Advisory Committee
• The Child Friendly Ballarat Committee
• The Community Safety Advisory Committee.
Amy has been an active member of the Australian Local Government Women’s Association, Ballarat’s Active Transport Working Group, as well as the local Intercultural Advisory Committee.
