Jennifer through to AGT Grand Final

• Jennifer Anderson performs on stage during the Australia's Got Talent Semi Final. Her strong vocal performance saw her head directly into the Grand Final.

Former Rainbow resident Jennifer Anderson, 50, has progressed through to the Australia’s Got Talent Grand Final after receiving the “golden buzzer” on Sunday night.
She was the first act straight through to the Grand Final.
Jennifer wowed the judges and the crowd with her vocal performance with a mash-up of I Dreamed a Dream from Les Misérables and Dream On by Aerosmith.
“I wanted to build a story with the songs I chose. I didn’t just choose them both because of the word ‘dream’. I was toying around with the idea of singing I Dreamed a Dream, but I wasn’t sure what song to put with it,” Jennifer said.
“When the producers said they were thinking I Dreamed a Dream as well, it was a bit like fate,” she said.
“I loved the message I portrayed and combining genres is always great when the message doesn’t get lost.
“The experience has been surreal and incredible. With the support of my husband and boys, and the country in general, it’s just wonderful.
“My sons are still trying to process everything that I’m doing,” Jennifer laughed.
Jennifer plans on giving the Grand Final her best shot to take out the title.
“My performance may have a little twist. We’ll just have to wait and see,” she hinted.
With most of the country cheering her on, can Jennifer take out the title of Australia’s Got Talent 2019. Tune in to find out.
AGT airs on Channel 7 on Sunday’s at 7pm.
