Prestigious award for Macy Fuller

The Order of Australia Association, Central Highlands Wimmera Regional Group has, for a number of years, sponsored the annual Student Citizenship Awards to recognise outstanding secondary school students in the Ballarat, Hindmarsh, Yarriambiack and Horsham shires.
On Wednesday September 4 the Hindmarsh Shire Council hosted a civic reception for the presentation of awards to students from Hindmarsh colleges.
Rainbow P-12 College nominated Macy Fuller to receive the prestigious Student Citizenship Award for 2019.
The citation for Macy’s award reads as follows:
Within her school, Macy participates fully in all learning activities, sports events and camps and excursions.
Macy has been an active member of the Student Representative Council for many years and this year is the secretary of the SRC.
She enjoys new challenges and opportunities and participated in the Victorian Young Leaders to China program in 2017 and also attended the School for Student Leadership at the Gnurad Campus in Term 4 of the same year.
Within our local community Macy has supported younger netball players and this year has successfully coached the Under 13 Jeparit Rainbow Storm Netball team to the finals.
Macy is a Hindmarsh Shire Youth Councillor this year and has worked with her colleagues to provide social opportunities for other students in the Hindmarsh Shire.
Macy Fuller is a worthy recipient of the 2019 Student Citizenship Award.
