Adventure awaits!
Rainbow's young Scouts have put together an advertisement asking for people who are “big kids themselves", like to laugh and join in the fun, are supportive and have a good sense of humour.
They hope to attract more adults to lead them on their adventures.
“We want the Scouts to be able to get the full benefits of Scouting, with their own leaders, so if you have been thinking about it, please let me know,” Ms Roll said.
“You will be well supported, and we can work with you if you need time off for work or other reasons - some time is better than no time.
“For this term we have lots of aquatic activities at the pool and lake - taking advantage of the wonderful recreational facilities we have, and learning everything from water safety to canoeing, and earning their Level 1 paddling OAS."
Children aged seven-and-a-half years and older who are interested in joining the 1st Rainbow Scouts and Cubs is welcome to visit the Scout Hall on Tuesday nights, between 3.30pm and 5pm , for three "come and try" nights.
"One night is not enough to see all the fun things we get up too," Ms Roll said.
