Art exhibition to light up Hopetoun
'Let There be Light' is the theme for an artists' exhibition at Hopetoun Powerhouse Art Studio later this year.
Organiser Susan Pearse has put out a call for artists to register their intention to have artwork or photography on show at the exhibition, from Friday September 20 to Thursday September 26.
Ms Pearse, Southern Mallee Co-operative Parish minister at Hopetoun and Rainbow, said the first exhibition at the Powerhouse Studio had been a success, enjoyed by the community, and had attracted many artists from a wide area.
Artwork can also be offered for sale on 20 per cent commission.
She said the exhibition aimed to create awareness of God's light in the world and also create a sense of community and partnership.
It was also an opportunity for artists to display their skills and a venue to sell pieces if desired, Mr Pearse said.
