Awards wrap up year / for primary students

Warracknabeal Primary School (WPS) celebrated their graduating Grade 6 students, class of 2023, with a dinner at the Creekside Hotel on December 14, and invited family and friends to attend.

Warracknabeal Primary School (WPS) celebrated their graduating Grade 6 students, class of 2023, with a dinner at the Creekside Hotel on December 14, and invited family and friends to attend.

The school’s awards ceremony took place afterwards, with a number of specialty awards presented to the following students, who are pictured on page five.

Tegan Roche presented Harry Lomax with the Parents’ Club Award and $50.

WPS principal Chris Kellett presented Ivy MacGregor with the Margaret Kent Writing Award for Writing and $50.

Tiffany Quinlan presented Tyler Templeton with the Warrack Eagles Sportsmanship Award and $50, and Archer Keam with the Bill Jefferies’ Citizenship Award and $50.

Emma Mansfield presented Piper Knorpp and Samuel Williamson with the Lions Club Literacy Incentive Award and the Lions Club Numeracy Incentive Award respectively, plus $150 each.

WPS thanked the people and organisations involved in donating and presenting the awards, and said the money awarded to students will go towards their Secondary College fees.
