Burras coach Kirby Knight said her team is looking forward to playing the benchmark of the competition.

"The Saints are a great side and have been for several years. They are well drilled and have excellent execution," Knight said.

"We will pay them the respect they deserve as they have been playing together for a long time and are a strong team and it's a good test for us to see how we match up and what we need to improve on to be matching it with the best.

"Our team is new and young and every side starts like that, so the girls are looking forward to it because regardless of what happens, we will be able to take something from the match moving forward."

At Davis Park, the Southern Mallee Thunder will look to get their third win of the season when they face Nhill.

The home side is a game clear of the Thunder in fifth spot on the ladder, so this is an important game for both sides.

Thunder coach Steph Thomson said they are looking forward to the match.

"We have trained twice this week and we are eager for a win," Thomson said.

At Central Park, Stawell and Warrack Eagles will be a great battle with both teams sitting seventh and eighth on the ladder. The Warriors are a game clear with two wins on the board, so it's an important clash for both teams if they want to stay within touch with the top five.

Ararat, meanwhile will look to continue to grow and learn when they travel to the Dimboola Recreation Reserve to take on the Roos.
