Carols at the Oasis this year
A new initiative in Rainbow this year is Christmas Carols at the Oasis.
Sponsored by the combined Christian churches of Rainbow with support from other community organisations and individuals, it will be a chance for people to sit back, relax and share together, with the opportunity to share informally with friends and neighbours, and enjoy music and song.
After starting with a sausage sizzle cooked by the Lions Club and drinks available for sale from the Scouts, between 5.30pm and 6.30pm, the carols will start at 7pm.
Leading the music will be Wayne Nitschke, with Pastor Lucas Matuschka compering the event.
While people will need to bring their own seating, booklets will be available to help us join the singing; surprises and handouts will be part of the evening, with activities for children before the carols.
Admission is free and all are welcome to this family-friendly event.
