December 2, 2004, marked the official opening of the bank branch and the beginning of their service to the wider community.

The commemorative plaque was unveiled at the opening by founding member and at the time chairperson John Clonan and then-managing director of Bendigo Bank Limited Rob Hunt.

Since then, the friendly branch staff, Amanda Ingeme, Kate Clark, Raylene Britten and Melissa Howard, have made sure every customer who enters the bank feels welcome under the care of branch manager Wayne Anderson.

The branch is a full bank facility, that offers services including loans, credit card, finance and more.

"We're here for the long haul," Mr Anderson said.

He said they have put around $400,000 back into the community through supporting sporting clubs, community organisations and more.

Dimboola and District Financial Services board chairperson Nick Pietsch attended the celebration and was handed the task of cutting the cake.

“It’s great to see the bank being successful and it’s all due to the fantastic team here, led by Wayne,” he said.

“Our aim is to keep full bank services available and put profits back into the community."

It has also been announced that those who invested in the branch will receive a dividend for their contribution with Mr Pietsch saying it could be finalised by early next year.

"A lot of people helped to get the bank off the ground," Mr Anderson said.

"It's great news to be able to give back."
