Demons women set for finals
The Horsham Demons senior women's football team will play their semifinal at Reid Oval, Warrnambool, on Sunday against the Hamilton Kangaroos in the Western Victoria Female Football League.
The Demons are the form team of the competition, heading into the finals with seven consecutive wins, which included an impressive three shut-outs and a victory against top-of-the-ladder South Warrnambool. They finished second on the ladder with eight wins and two losses.
They have played Hamilton twice this season. They lost the first match in round two by nine points before winning by 40 points in the second match at home in round seven.
The other match will be contested between ladder leaders South Warrnambool and Tyrendarrra on Sunday at Reid Oval.
The winners of the two matches will play each other in the Grand Final the following week, with a time, date, and venue to be announced.
The under-18s are also in the finals, finishing fourth. They will meet top-of-the-ladder South Warrnambool, also at Reid Oval.
