Donald High School excels again
Once again, a big thank you to Donald High School for their continued support of the all-abilities physical activity programs during 2024. During this year, staff and students have assisted with facilitating and encouraging the participants during the various sporting activities.
The final four-week program was conducted at the Donald Lawn Tennis Club. Rhonda Allan of the Mallee Sports Assembly liaised with club member Stuart Potter to conduct another four-week tennis program for people of all abilities.
This has allowed people of all abilities to enjoy an informal hit of tennis on the magnificent lawn tennis courts in Donald.
We all thank the club for its wonderful and continued support of the tennis programs for all abilities.
Participants attended from McCallum Day Services-St Arnaud, Woodbine-Warracknabeal, and Donald.
Approximately 60 people have been involved/participated, which is excellent. The weather has been great for the outdoor program activities. Everyone has physical and social fun, and that’s what it’s all about.
Rhonda attended the third session (unable to attend the final one next week ) and presented two “Certificates of Appreciation” to student Jack, one for the club and the other for the school for their continued support to inclusive sport and recreation for all levels of abilities- much appreciated by all.
This program is an initiative of the “Access for All Abilities” program (funded by Sport & Recreation of Victoria).
