From giving birth to premiership in five months

Natimuk's Courtney Cameron's journey this year is quite unbelievable. In round one, she had her third child, Poppy. Six weeks later, she returned to netball in round seven against the Swifts, scoring 23 goals. Sixteen games on, she has a premiership and was awarded best on the court in the C-grade grand final.

Cameron has scored 252 goals in 17 games this season. She has been with Natimuk since 2014 after having previously played for Harrow Balmoral.

"It was a big surprise that I won best on the court after having a baby earlier in the season," Cameron said.

"I have played in a few premierships in the past, won a B-grade for Natimuk in 2016 and lost a B-grade last year, so to win one this year was pretty special.

"I wasn't going to play this year, and then the team had some injuries and didn't have a goalie and asked me to play."

"I said I would give it a try as I wasn't sure how my body would respond, but it responded well and here we are."
