Great weather for Wimmera Rifle Championships
Rifle Club Champions from Stawell, Warracknabeal, Natimuk, Kaniva and Horsham gathered at the Horsham Rifle Range on Saturday, August 24, to shoot off over 600, 700, and 900-yard ranges for the Title of Wimmera Rifle Champion for 2024.

Four Championship Categories were contested. They were Target Rifle - Iron sights,
which was won by Horsham’s Paul Rudolph with a score of 145.9V.
Target Rifle – Telescopic sights saw Trevor Heinrich of Horsham take the honours with 173.9X.
The Open Rifle -Telescopic sights category was won by Horsham’s Craig Leamon with a score of 176.14X, while the Hunter Rifle Division saw Mick Liston of Warracknabeal take the honours with a score of 146.12V.
These Wimmera Champions are now able to go on to compete in the State Rifle Shooting titles at Bendigo in a few months.
