Mayor Kylie Zanker welcomed all present.

This was followed by a day of fellowship and worship time.

Guest speakers included Denise Miekle on knitting for the Leprosy Mission, and John Keller of Nhill on his work in Asia helping persecuted people in remote areas of countries with corrupt governments.

A highlight of the day for Warracknabeal was the celebration of the 100th birthday of the Lutheran Ladies Guild, which began on the exact day 100 years ago - May 4 1924.

Jeanette Nitschke and Arvil Hein made and decorated a beautiful cake to commemorate the occassion.

The cake was cut by Elaine Schultz, who was an early secretary of the guild.

Afternoon tea and cake was enjoyed by all to conclude the convention.
