Horsham Calisthenics College Shines at Westside Calisthenics Competition

Horsham Calisthenics College has continued its impressive competition season with two of its teams recently making their mark at the Westside Calisthenics Competition in Melbourne.

The Juniors team delivered a standout performance, securing several top placements throughout the day. Their achievements included Honourable Mention for Aesthetics, 3rd place for Clubs, 2nd place for March, Rods, and Review. Their standout performance in Freearm earned them 1st place and the Reserve Aggregate overall title. Coach Kylie Hermans expressed her pride in the team's performance, noting, "You can see the improvement in the girls after each competition, which not only boosts their confidence but also prepares them well for the upcoming Calisthenics State Championships and Ballarat’s Royal South Street Competitions."

Meanwhile, the Intermediate team competed in their 5th Division section on Sunday. The team of nine girls, aged 13 to 17, received Highly Commended for Aesthetics and Honourable Mention for Clubs, Rods, Freearm, and Dance Arrangement. Their March performance earned them 3rd place. Coach Maddison Cook praised the team's dedication and enthusiasm, saying, "They had a really fun day, and they’re such an amazing little team that works so hard, and it shows at every competition."

Looking ahead, the Sub-Juniors and Seniors teams are set to compete at the Calisthenics Victoria State Championships. The Sub-Juniors will perform on Monday, September 23, followed by the Seniors on Friday, September 27
