Sarah Tottenham made the final for the Female Masters Single Scull, finishing in sixth place whilst Dan Hendrie teamed up with Nestles Aaron Skinner in the Para Double Scull where they finished in third place.

Tottenham said it was a fantastic weekend.

"There were a lot of races and it was a great weekend with beautiful weather and we had some success on top of that," Tottenham said.

"The season was great for the club. There were a lot of regattas we attended and we tried to make as many as we could and we had some great results throughout the season.

"The Horsham crew love getting out to the regattas and the challenges that come with it as well as the fun with camping and going to these beautiful places and being able to row on gorgeous rivers and lakes."

"Nagambie is no different. It's a beautiful lake and the weather was fantastic over the two days."

With the season now over, the Horsham Rowing Club will train over winter with an eye to their big goal, the Head of the Yarra in November.

The Head of the Yarra is the biggest race in Australia with teams from all around Australia and some from New Zealand coming to compete in the gruelling 8km competition.

"We have our boat through fundraising and have eight great rowers ready to tackle it," Tottenham said.

"Over the winter we will train as best we can and we will continue to row every Sunday morning weather permitting."

The Horsham Rowing Club welcomes anyone who would like to come on Sunday to have a row and get into the sport.
