Insight into the science behind pain
Pain Revolution's 2024 Rural Outreach Tour will arrive in the Wimmera on September 21.
The tour comprises events to engage both community members and health professionals with a unique blend of science and entertainment, offering insights into pain management while keeping participants entertained.
Whether you're a local who's curious about pain or a health professional seeking to expand your knowledge, informative and enjoyable sessions will enable you to learn from experts, participate in interactive activities and connect with other regional residents.
In "The science of why we hurt", community members will be encouraged to explore the complex science behind pain.
It will run from 9am until 10.45am and will be free to attend; bookings can be made online at https://www.painrevolution.org/whywehurt
This will be followed by a professional event, Horsham Pain Skillsfest, at a cost of $85.
It will be held between 10.45am and 5.30pm, involving leading experts in modern pain management strategies including Professor Lorimer Moseley, Dr Sarah Wallwork, Peter Roberts, Luke Postlethwaite, Brendan Mouatt and Dr Andrew Horwood.
