Last of Horsham Calisthenics Teams Compete at CVI Championships
Horsham Calisthenics wrapped up their participation in the Calisthenics Victoria Championship competitions last week, with both the Juniors and Intermediates teams taking the stage.

On Monday, September 30, the Juniors competed at the Besen Centre in Burwood in the Division 5 category, going up against five other teams, most of which were from metropolitan Melbourne. The girls gave strong performances, earning a Highly Commended for Rods and Honourable Mentions for March, as well as 3rd place in Freearm and 2nd place in Clubs, Aesthetics, and Review.
Coach Kylie Hermans praised her team's efforts, saying, “The girls performed well on the day. We look forward to reading the adjudicators’ comments and preparing for our final competition at Royal South Street in Ballarat."
The Intermediate team closed out the week on Wednesday, October 2, also competing in the Division 5 section at the Besen Centre. They received a Highly Commended for Clubs and Honourable Mentions for March, Freearm, and Dance Arrangement.
Coaches Dianne Walter and Maddison Cook expressed their pride in the team's efforts, stating, “We were proud of the girls and their performance on the day. With one more competition left for the year, we’ll work hard at practice over the next few weeks.”
In addition to their recent competition successes, Horsham Calisthenics is celebrating a milestone anniversary this October. The club is marking 50 years with an end-of-year concert on October 26 at Horsham Town Hall.
On the evening of Saturday, October 26, a special reunion for past and present members will be held at the Horsham Football Club rooms, offering a night of reminiscing, catching up, and laughter. All former members who wish to attend are encouraged to register via the Horsham Calisthenics website.
