Many hands make hard work easy

The Dimboola Progress Association (DPA) recently got to work installing new seating at the Recreation Reserve and along the river in the Commons, with the help of Dimboola Memorial Secondary College's Hands On Learning class.

The class joined the team of DPA volunteers to place six seats in the allocated areas.

"A massive thank you to everyone for putting in 100 per cent," DPA president Kaylene Pietsch said.

Hands On Learning coordinator Donna Baldock organised a barbecue to feed the hungry workers, and supplied drinks throughout the day.

"It was a fantastic opportunity for the students to listen to others and learn new skills," Ms Baldock said.

"Hands on Learning is not always about the materials things.

"Students are given the opportunity to learn how to introduce themselves in this type of setting and share stories.

"Thank you to Phil, Nick and Bill for showing students new skills, and Kaylene for organising - it was much appreciated by all."
