For the first time in seven years, the track was used for a massive event and it went off well. Club secretary Kenny Watts thanked everyone for the support.

"The club is thrilled with the support we were given from our members and the community. We had a lot of volunteers helping out which was awesome," Watts said.

"Motorcycling Australia was happy. They hadn't been to Horsham in seven years and we have raised the bar again."

"They came in and the management and crew that did the setup finished a day ahead of schedule with our infrastructure already in place for them."

Watts said the crowd was awesome and whilst he would have liked to have seen more numbers, he was still very happy with the support.

"We had good numbers and it was great to see a lot of people there. People traveled from Mt Gambier, Warrnambool, Echuca and all over the place which was great to see," Watts said.

"It was televised on SBS and it's now on SBS On Demand so people can watch it anywhere and they got 850,000 hits.

"I can understand that people may not want to travel from Melbourne when it's on TV, but we are glad it's on TV and our track is on display, not only around Australia but also the world and it also promotes Horsham as well which is brilliant."

Watts said the feedback from the riders was positive.

"They all thought the track was challenging and usually a concern in races is dust management," Watts said.

"We were able to keep it down. We gave the track a drink at lunchtime and there was little to no dust which is great for the riders."

In the racing, Jed Beaton won the Thor MX1, Brodie Connolly won the Pirelli MX2, Jet Alsop the Maxxis MX3 and Levi Townley the MX85.

The Club will be running the Barry Francis Western Region Series in May and in September the Amateur MX.
