Multiple fires at Little Desert National Park
A watch and act message has been issued for the entire Little Desert National Park, telling visitors and campers to leave the area immediately.
Multiple fires have started in the Little Desert National Park and are travelling in a southerly direction towards private land south of the park.
People are urged to monitor changes to the situation such as increased wind speed, change in wind direction, smoke or poor visibility, protect yourself and your family and if you are away from home, do not return.
The next update is expected to be issued by 8.20pm or as the situation changes.
A further message has been issued for Duchembegarra, Goroke, Grass Flat, Gymbowen, Minimay, Mitre, Neuarpurr, Nurcoung and Peronne to stay informed about the situation.
