The ‘Ride 4 Cancer’ group began their ambitious ride from Adelaide to Melbourne on March 24.

On Monday, they decided to make a detour into Dimboola to taste the pies after receiving a recommendation from a resident in Nhill, where the crew spent the previous night.

The team, who are completing the challenge to ride from Adelaide to Melbourne in seven days, are all good mates who went to school together and were inspired to raise funds after losing a loved one to cancer.

The group previously completed a 62 kilometre ‘Walk 4 Cancer’ two years ago.

After their stop off in Dimboola, the group complimented the beautiful town before braving the wet weather and resuming their day’s ride to St Arnaud where they spent the night.

These everyday heroes are due to arrive in Melbourne sometime today.

Their original target was to raise $30,000 for the Cancer Council, Leukaemia and Breast Cancer Network through their GoFundMe page and, thanks to generous supporters, they will exceeded their expectations.
