A sneak peek at the progress on local projects
Affordable Housing Initiative
In a significant move towards community development, Yarriambiack Shire CEO Tammy Smith confirmed that, “the Shire has acquired the land at 16 Stewart Street in Rupanyup under the Local Government Act 1989, Section 181 process”.
“The demolition of a fire-damaged property on the site has been undertaken, paving the way for a new two-bedroom unit,” stated Mrs Smith.

Drainage Study Undertaking
Yarriambiack Shire Council has proactively engaged a consultant to conduct a comprehensive drainage study across Rupanyup.
This study aims to evaluate the functionality of the township’s drainage systems, ensuring sustainability and efficiency.
Housing Development Collaboration
Mrs Smith also confirmed that, “the Shire has provided support to the Rupanyup Future Fund that is working towards the redevelopment of Gibson Street land into an eight-lot subdivision".
“This project promises to invigorate the community with new housing opportunities," stated Mrs Smith.
