The Saints scored 18 goals in the first quarter to lead by seven at quarter-time. The Thunder battled hard to stay with the Saints in the second quarter, but the Saints edged away to lead by 12 goals at half-time.

A 17-goal third quarter saw them extend their lead to 18 at three-quarter-time before scoring 16 in the last to run out 67-41 winners.

Taya Quick was outstanding with 36 goals, and Abby Hallam scored 31. Megan Byrne was best on the court at wing attack.

Steph Thomson shot 26 goals for the Thunder, with Caitlin Douglass excellent in attack and defence and Rylee Cocks outstanding in the centre on Ashlee Grace.

Saints coach Jess Cannane said it was easily their best win for a while.

"I think we started well and played a good, solid 45-50 minutes of netball, which produced a lot of scoring opportunities," Cannane said.

"We have settled into that newer lineup, and Taya Quick is improving every week.

"Megan was polished in our attacking end and released the ball well, and we were playing netball rather than thinking about every single pass."

Burras break drought to stay in finals hunt.

Minyip Murtoa has broken a five-game losing streak, defeating the Warrack Eagles by 22 points at a windy Murtoa Recreation Reserve.

They were on top in the first quarter, shooting 15 goals to lead by six at quarter-time. An 18-goal second quarter saw them extend the lead to 13 goals at half-time.

They remained consistent in the third quarter, with the Eagles pressing them, and managed another 15 goals to 11 to lead by 17 at three-quarter time.

They scored another 15 goals in the last quarter to run out 63 to 41 winners.

Kirby Knight scored 40 goals for the Burras, with Lauren Clyne leading the way with 25 for the Eagles.

Burras coach Kirby Knight said it was a relief to finally get another win.

"It was good to get back into the winner's circle," Knight said.

"We have been in the hunt until half-time in recent games, and our consistency dropped away, so it was good to be consistent for the whole game and come away with the win."

Lauren Dodgshun was their best player at goalkeeper in her second game back from a calf injury, with Ashlee Rintoule providing plenty of drive at wing attack.

"Lauren was consistent over the four quarters and wore down the goal ring in windy conditions," Knight said.

"She made it hard for them, and one-on-one, she shut down her opponent and did it well. She made it hard for them to score goals.

"Ash played short and in front and fed the ball safely, given how windy it was. Her movement was outstanding in our attack end and helped us with our scoreline.

Tigers strong fourth quarter gets them over the line.

Nhill has pulled away in the last quarter to defeat Stawell by five goals at Davis Park.

The Warriors took it up to the Tigers early, leading by two goals at quarter-time before the Tigers reversed it in the second quarter to lead by two.

It was a tight third quarter, but the Tigers maintained that lead into three-quarter-time.

In the last quarter, 11 goals to 8 saw them run out 39 to 34 winners.

Emma Beer scored 23 goals for the Tigers, while Madi Taylor scored 24 for the Warriors.

Demons too good for the Roos

The Horsham Demons defeated Dimboola by 11 goals at Dimboola Recreation Reserve.

The Demons took a slender two-goal lead into quarter-time before a 14 to six goal second quarter saw them extend that margin to 11 at half-time.

The Demons pulled further away in the third quarter, leading by 14 goals at the last break before running out 43 to 34 winners.

Imogen Worthy was sensational for the Demons scoring 27 goals whilst Nicole Polycarpou scored 20 for the Roos with Indy Ward and Bridget Dorrington excellent down back for the Roos.
