Skydiving at Nhill aero-engineering expo
Skydiving will be a feature at the NAHC Historic Engineering Expo at Nhill on Saturday March 19.

SKYDIVING will be a feature at the NAHC Historic Engineering Expo at Nhill on Saturday March 19.
The South Australian based company, SA Skydiving, will be offering jumps throughout the day at the aerodrome.
Whether you are a first time skydiver or an experienced sport jumper, the highly experienced, friendly team at SA Skydiving is dedicated to providing the best skydiving experience possible!

For those who want to keep their feet firmly on the ground there will be lots to interest them at the Historical Engineering Expo.
The partially restored Avro Anson aircraft at the Nhill Aviation Heritage Centre will be started, along with blacksmithing, woodturning and parachute packing displays.
Examples of machinery and equipment originally manufactured in Nhill will be on display, as well as artwork from scrap metal, children’s engineering exhibits, competitions and much more.
The Aeradio Building will be officially opened by Dr Anne Webster MP.
The building, situated on the west side of the aerodrome, has been refurbished to bring it back to its original 1930s condition. Built for the Department of Civil Aviation, it was an essential link in the fledgling aviation industry and operated until 1964.

It is one of only two remaining of the original nineteen built across Australia.
After being decommissioned the building was used by the Nhill Apex Club and later handed to the Nhill Aviation Heritage Centre to maintain.
Plaques will also be presented by members of Engineering Heritage Victoria in recognition of Nhill’s unique engineering history at the aerodrome.
The program starts at 10am finishing at 4pm. Cost is $15 with free entry for children.
