St Michaels defeat Kalkee in close contest

Going into the match on level pegging, Kalkee were eyeing their first win, and after the first doubles sets of matches, the scores were 2-2.
Kalkee's wins came from Meaghan Pohlner and Anna Exell, who defeated Mia Rees and Barb Crough 8-2, and Jeff Friberg and Luke Byrne, who defeated Eli Bailey and Joel Rees 8-2.
St Michaels secured their sets through Steve Schultz and Peter Hayes defeating Jordan Friberg and Aiden Richardson 8-3 and Kassie Peachey and Karen Rees defeating Emily Polack and Keeley Schultz 8-3.
In the singles matches, St Michaels won three sets to one. Mia Rees defeated Meaghan Pohlner 8-2, Kassie Peachey defeated Emily Polack 8-0 and Steve Schultz defeated Jordan Friberg 8-2. Kalkee's win came through Jeff Friberg defeating Eli Bailey 8-0.
St Michaels maintained their two-set lead after the next four doubles sets.
Peter Hayes and Joel Rees defeated Aiden Richardson and Luke Byrne 8-7, and Steve Schultz and Joel Rees defeated Jordan Friberg and Luke Byrne 8-2.
For Kalkee, Anna Exell and Keeley Schultz defeated Barb Crough and Karen Rees 8-1, and Meaghan Pohlner and Keeley Schultz defeated Mia Rees and Karen Rees 8-3.
In the final two sets, despite Emily Polack and Anna Exell defeating Kassie Peachey and Barb Crough 8-0, Eli Bailey and Peter Hayes ensured the St Michaels win, defeating Aiden Richardson and Jeff Friberg 8-4.
At Horsham Lawn Tennis Club, Horsham Lawn defeated Drung South 11-3.
Drung South's wins came through Kate-Lyn Perkin, who defeated Tahlia Thompson 8-7; Sandra Casey and Andrea Cameron, who defeated Ella Thompson and Maree Thompson 8-6; and Yolly Molineaux and Sandra Casey, who defeated Gemma Walker and Ella Thompson 8-6.
Horsham Lawn's singles wins came through Sam Hoffmann, who defeated Aaron Jennings 8-1, D'Artagnan Walls, who defeated Harrison Daniell 8-6 and Gemma Walker, who defeated Yolly Molineaux 8-6.
They won the first four doubles sets with Sam Hoffmann and Lachlan Punchard defeating Aaron Jennings and Dale Schmid 8-3, Tahlia Thompson and Ella Thompson defeating Kate-Lyn Perkin and Sandra Casey 8-5, D'Artagnan Walls and Graeme Wood defeating Harrison Daniel and Mathew Hill 8-4 and Gemma Walker and Maree Thompson defeating Yolly Molineaux and Andrea Cameron 8-6.
