The Wimmera Mail-Times staff gathered proudly in front of the printing press, marking the triumphant return of the paper to the Ward family. Cameras flashed, people shifted, and after numerous attempts at the perfect group shot, they were almost there. Almost.
Just as the final click was about to seal the moment in history, in waltzed Chris, the ever-oblivious sports journalist. The carefully arranged group sighed in unison—some dismayed, others amused. With a mix of grumbles and laughter, the shot was hastily redone.
The first edition was back. And so was Chris—right on time, as always.
