Variable conditions for annual shoot

The Warracknabeal Rifle Club held its annual competition on the weekend with mixed weather greeting the shooters over the two-day shoot.

Saturday started off very wild and windy but it didn’t deter the determined shooters with shooters coming from around the state as far away as Wangaratta and Melbourne across to Mount Gambier with plenty of local shooters as well.

Sunday dawn, bright and clear with a lot warmer day with great scores shot across both days.

Adam McLennan from Kyneton won the target rifle A-grade and Warracknabeal's Carolynn Nitschke won the target rifle B-grade.

The other winners were: F standard A: Danny Sandford (Hamilton), F standard B: Jacinta Paz
F open: Alistair Larmour (Birchip), FTR Marty Kelly (Wangaratta), Hunter open: Mick Liston (Warracknabeal), and Hunter production: Gerald Grier (Geelong).

Warracknabeal's next competition is on September 21 and 22 with the Australian 50 BMG and Warracknabeal open competition.
