A Warracknabeal cropping property has nearly cleared the $2M price tag after it went under the hammer on February 25.

A WARRACKNABEAL cropping property has nearly cleared the $2M price tag after it went under the hammer on February 25.
A crowd of 30 at the Anzac Park Community Centre watched as the bidding began on the 409.94 acre farm holding located off Rattray Road, Warracknabeal.
After about 10 minutes, the Somers family agreed to purchase the property off the Sleep family for $4650 an acre for a total value of $1.9M.

The price tag falls short of previous tops across the Wimmera including the sale of a Marnoo property for $8000 an acre and a Kaniva property for $11,000 an acre.
The property is located close to town and a grain receival site with soils suited to cropping and grazing and has pipeline water connections and catchment dams.
A right of entry was given from Tuesday March 1 to prepare land for cropping.
