Whippets have great day in Ararat
The Wimmera Whippets traveled to Ararat on Sunday for round three of the FIDA Western Conference and the football team secured one win from their two games played.

The game they won was against the Grampians Giants, winning 4.9.33 to 1.0.6. Robbie Turmine kicked two goals with Michael Clark and Alfred Muller also hitting the scoreboard.
Against South Warrnambool, the Whippets scored a goal in their 51-point loss with the Roosters winning 8.9.57 to 1.0.6. Robbie Turmine was the sole goal scorer for the Whippets, taking his tally to three for the day.
The TRY Medal & Uniting Vic.Tas Player of the Day went to Michael Clark for his outstanding performance.
With the other awards, in second was Jay Jay Nitschke, third was Jack Werner and fourth was Robbie Turmine.
