Whozyadeeler, a 7-year-old B Gelding by Dundeel (NZ) out of Anniversary Jewel (NZ), won by 0.4 lengths ahead of Unthinkable and Thrill Kill. He was paying $11 for the win.

Jockey Ms Rose Hammond notched up her 49th win.

Local trainer Paul Preusker had two horses in the event: Hot Suspect, ridden by Jarrod Fry, and Brawl, ridden by Christine Puls. They finished in fourth and sixth place, respectively.

Preusker, however, didn't leave Murtoa empty-handed, with horse Finnhugh saluting for him in race one, in a maiden plate.

Finnhugh was ridden by Tom Madden and paid $7.50 for the win. Race favorite Champagne Sabre, ridden by Jack Hill and trained by Jamie Edwards, finished second. The outsider of the field, Hasta La Peace, finished third, ridden by Neil Farley and trained by Sue Murphy.

Ms Hammond secured her her 50th win in the final race on the card when she rode Shigeru to victory, which paid $14.

The track was graded a heavy 8 for the day, which made conditions hard for horses and spectators alike.
