A six-farm cropping portfolio in the Wimmera is on the market.

The Beverly Farming Portfolio takes in 886 hectares (2190 acres) near Minyip in the Wimmera.

The aggregation is being offered as a whole or separately, with or without the existing crop.

Almost all the land (840ha, 2077 acres) is considered arable.

No suggested price has been offered for the sale.

The portfolio comprises six properties across nine titles, known as:

Marnoo (242.5ha, 599 acres)

Rich Avon (132ha, 326 acres)

Woods (128ha, 316 acres)

Top Paddock and 70 Acres (125ha, 309 acres)

South-east (129ha, 320 acres)

Hemphills (129ha, 320 acres).

Agents say the aggregation has been operated as part of a continuous cropping program for many years, utilising a lentil/cereal/canola rotation.

The farms are said to have highly productive soil types and favourable topography underpinned by average annual rainfall of about 404mm

The farms are located 17km from Minyip, 26km from Donald and 53km from Horsham.

Agents from Colliers Agribusiness say the portfolio offers buyers the potential to capitalise "on an increasing price for carbon and high demand for natural capital assets, via a soil carbon sequestration initiative".

The portfolio is being offered for sale in one line or as separate properties/titles with or without crop by expressions of interest closing Tuesday, September 10.
